YOU HAVE A BLESSED ASSUARANCE.

Quiet some few years ago I had to write some of my senior high school final papers again, so I registered for these papers and started preparing myself towards it. Most of the people I knew taught for the fact that I couldn’t do better in my first exam there was no way I would be able to come out with better grades this second time especially looking at the fact that I was also working at the same time.

Surprisingly I myself couldn’t get myself to come to an understanding on why I had to write an exam again (even though I wasn’t the first to do so) I just believed I had written the best of answers to every question I answered. I really gave a lot of thinking to what really went wrong after all the studies and classes I attended and even the fact that I was a Christian who attended church every Sunday too. I asked myself a lot of questions, tried to put the blame on the WAEC (West Africa Examination Council) officials that maybe somehow they really didn’t mark my papers. I believed in myself so much that i just couldn’t figure out why I had to write an exam again, till I finally had to ask myself some important questions that most people in this world haven’t asked themselves yet as they walk through trials. The question that brings us to a realisation on where God needs to be in our life’s, the question that when answered gives us a BLESSED ASSUARANCE, the question that says Have or Did I place God at the centre of it all?

The answer to this question was the answer to everything that I couldn’t understand. I realised that even though I had all the necessary text books, being present at every class we held from morning to evening and always at church saying the Amen and Amen to every prayer or prophecy made, God wasn’t placed at the centre of it all. I also even had my bible besides my bed all the time but His word wasn’t whole in me. I trusted in my teachers and the text books for the success I was looking for, forgetting completely that I have a blessed assurance that says in Philippians 4: 13 that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (not my text books and teachers who strengthens me) A Blessed Assurance that says in exodus 14: 14 that “the Lord shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace” even before you walk to the battle field.

I figured out what went wrong and I knew I had to right my wrongs, I knew I had to believe in the blessed assurance that God has given us, I knew I needed not to place my books and teachers at the centre of it all but God. So I remember the night of the day I went to pay the fees for the remedial school I was about to attend, I locked myself up in my room, cried like never before and totally I just handed it all over to God.

I started preparing towards the exams, It wasn’t easy, each day brought it own struggles but I kept reminding myself of His word, His Grace and His blessed assurance. I finally wrote the papers and some few months later the results came in. It was amazing, beautiful, and overwhelming how God turned things around for me.

My dear reader, I had to tell you this lengthy story to tell you that true success comes from God and not any man. I'm not telling you to forget about your books and teachers whenever you have an exam to write, they all matters. But if we will stick to God's word and understand His every promise, we will know that before we even walk to the battle field we already have been marked victorious. You know it yourself that you have been living in doubt of the promises and goodness of the Lord and you have totally misplaced God in your situation because of the many times you keep trying. Maybe the people around you have just talked you out of trying again but I just want to give you this reminder that the God of Joseph, Abraham and Gideon is still in His miracle business and all He seeks is for you to trust Him and place Him right at the centre of it all.

Haven’t you heard of Abraham in the bible? God gave him a promised that He will make him the father of many nations even though he had no child(not even one) and He was 75 years old when God spoke to him to depart from his country to a country that the Lord had shewed him. Abraham kept this promise with faith to the age of 100 years when God gave him a child and through that child he became a blessing to generations. He believed in the Blessed Assurance of the LORD. Whatever he was going through never became a reason for him to misplace God from the right place He needs to be, he knew if the lord has spoken then he has to avail himself to His word and promises no matter the challenges and struggles it comes with.

You can get better and stronger in whatever you are going through, providing if you have rightfully placed God at the centre. The blessed assurance of the LORD to you as a child of God doesn’t lie in you going to church, taking your bible with you, opening it when the pastor gives a quotation and then closing it for the rest of the days when you get home, it doesn’t lie in you giving offering every time you go to church. It lies in your faith and actions, it lies in you trusting Him in all things (not part of the things, but all things) and again it lies in you availing yourself to the promises of His word even if you have tried and failed for a number of times.

Ending this piece, I want to assure you that its within the great MISTAKES that God places great GRACE. There is no I tried and failed when God is at the centre of it all. Need i remind you of this, that even in the beginning of the world, God wanted man to live with no sin, but the devil through his lies and convincing ways led man towards sin. Yet when sin erupted, God still gave us forgiveness through redemption, and through His forgiveness He gave us a blessed assurance that says that no matter how way ward we go, the number of times we make mistakes, the failures and temptations that comes our way, He still has His arms stretched forward to us if only we will turn to His love. He doesn't call the qualified. He pours out His blessings and Grace to the unqualified and rejected stones. So Put Christ at the centre of it all, avail yourself to His promises, walk with His spirit in you and your story shall turn from mockery to victory.
It’s a Blessed Assurance, you own it, so proclaim it!!!!

God richly bless you for reading.....Peace❤✌.
