LOST BUT SAVED FOR HIS GLORY

It’s my birthday today and this is my precious gift to you, I pray you get blessed as you read to the end.

The story of the prodigal son in the bible teachs us a lot about being lost and being saved. Being lost means not knowing the whereabouts of a person or anything in general whiles being saved also means being rescued or found no matter how far you’ve gone or how far you have been lost. Maybe you might not know about the story of the prodigal son, in the bible it can be found in Luke 15: 11-32, but for the sake of this piece let me tell you about how beautiful this prodigal son was found and welcomed home even though he went deeply astray.

He was the son of a wealthy man. He had everything he could ever ask for. To talk about reality there was no way he could have even taught about leaving his father's house but he still did anyway. He took his share of his father’s belongings and journeyed into a far country. Over there he wasted everything he had and lived a disorderly life. After wasting everything he had, there arose a great famine and he got to a point where he completely had nothing. His only option now was to feed himself with the food of some swine’s he was assigned to take care of.
To be eating the same food swine’s were eating was one hell of a life to be living, so one day he came to himself and realized he had made a mistake and he need to go back to his father because over there at his father’s place there was enough and even more to spare too, so why should he perish in hunger? Coming back home, his father saw him from afar when he hadn’t even reached home yet and immediately with compassion he ran to embrace him and kissed him. As shameful as the son was he asked to be one of his father’s servant but he was taken home and merry was made for him. He wasn't made a servant as he requested but he was loved and adored as a son again.

This is the story we are going to draw our inspiration from. In some different ways we have all been like the prodigal son before. We might not have asked for things from our parents or relatives but probably we might have made some decisions that took us way from God’s protection and now we are feeling so weary, left out, lost , abandoned or even left without options than to stick with things that are so hurting and out of love.

The inspiration i want you to get is that if an earthly father could have this compassion towards a son, then how much more about our heavenly father who loved us to the beautiful point of giving out his son to be crucified for our sins. Am glad to know or hear you say you have done the worse and you have gone beyond the point of saving, because am here to tell you about a glorious father who sees beyond what we have done so shameful and what our past says about us.

God’s love is so powerful and so amazing that even through it dry bones were given life back. If dry bones could rise up and live again how much more about you. You have gone so far, I understand. It could be that physically you are alive but spiritually no one knows your whereabouts. It’s alright because God's love is calling you today to come back home. He has his arms stretched out waiting for you, He is even going to embrace you before you reach home. But all of that isn’t going to happen until you decide to turn back to him. All it requires is your decision to come back home into his love. Even though God is so passionate about you coming back home to him, he Isn’t going to force you to do so until you decide, because freely has he set us.

Some of the times you are going to get mock by people who do not know how precious you are to God whiles coming back home. People who have no idea how God has been patiently waiting for you are going to tell you it’s too late to be saved, but do not listen to them. Just fix your eyes on the goal of coming back to God and He is going to welcome You home and make merry for you. Don’t stay at that place of nothingness. Don’t die whiles living. Don’t feed with swine’s. Don’t you ever say you have to stay in that dead relationship because nobody is ever going to want you back again. Don’t deceive yourself that it’s too late for you to deserve what precious in the sight of God for you. Don't burden yourself with your past mistakes because God’s words says come to me all who weary and labour and I will give you rest.

You can be found and be saved if you decide to come back home. His arms Is always stretched forth for you, He says never will I leave you nor forsake you. In His Image were you created. Wonderfully and fearfully did He created you. Make that beautiful decision and turn back to God, come back home to your father child of God, come let’s make merry for you. Don’t be left out because onward we are journeying to heaven. The place where there Is no tear nor sorrows. You can be there if You decide to let Jesus take the wheel of your life and drive you to the glorious destination. God loves you and He will take care of you.

Dear Lord, I thank you for this beautiful moment. Am sorry for going so far without your Grace and deciding to live life on my own. I have known the truth today and I want to be saved by you. Forgive me of my sins, take me back into your love and mould me for your greatness. Thank you Father for welcoming me back home, Amen.
